The point I was trying to make in The Active and Passive Messianic Belief. That the above and below is one messianic idea, one ideology and one movement. It is a false messianic belief that the world can be better, can change, it’s a belief in “progress”. They only seem different on the surface. Above are the passive messianic activists, below are proponents of the active messianic idea advocated by Marx. They are equally misguided or should I say stupid, but have much more in common than appears on the surface.
