Revolution in Israel
The current evens, in Israel, is only a preview of what will happen after Trump wins the election.
Dialogue is no longer possible. The left substituted religion for politics. In the crusade they are led, egged on, by the media, their manipulative church.
In every country, including the USA, the Supreme Court judges are appointed by the president and therefore are the result of the political process by the elected representatives. This issue is at the heart of the American elections. Only in Israel, Supreme Court judges are appointed from within the judicial system (judges appoint themselves). To say that the change will lead to a dictatorship and the end of democracy flies in the face of reason. Of course, this assumes some rational thinking. The emotional left is having a religious moment, is incapable of rational thinking, from proclaiming “the end of democracy” and “dictatorship”. Ironically, this is the legacy of the Jewish experience, when Jews toiled under the Rabbinic leadership or the unelected Rabbinical Supervision. And “secular” Israelis are calling this back. The roles are reversed. The secular are the true religious fanatics, and they yearn back for the days of the absolute unelected power of the Rebbes.
With the growth of the hareidy population, there is a fear of the left leaning Ashkenazi population that the appointment of judges via a political process will lead to the haredi dictatorship. They, secular Ashkenazim, are the start-up nation, they fly the planes and go to the army. This conflict exacerbated, brought to a head, the structural problem with hareidim who take from the society and don’t give back. The Hareidi population lack of service in the army and the lack of participation in the economy is the heart of the issue. Who are they to tell us who is the judge via political process? And without the judges, we have no one to defend us against the hareidi and Sephardi peasants.
There is also a perception that the secular Ashkenazim, who have less power in the electoral process (Labor almost erased, Meretz no longer in the Knesset), will be exposed, no one to defend them without the judges.
As, Erel Segal, said this morning, the ultimate objective of the left is a two-state solution and there is fear that, embolden by the current upraising, they will demand it.
But the right is stupid, their leaders don't have finesse and savvy required for the mortal fight (see Trump's first term). Colossal strategic blunder by Bibi who erroneously assumed the deep state will let him finish the term. Unaware of the gravity of the situation, he spent the weekends in Rome and then London.
We are witnessing the most important event in the Israeli history after the Yom Kippur war.
The masses are sick of the uppity elites. Not just in the courts. The villagers (aka “settlers”), the Mizrachi, the orthodox, the Chareidi, the poor in South Tel Aviv, the disenfranchised in the “periphery”, the workers and more are sick to their stomachs of the abuse and discrimination they’ve received FOR DECADES from the White, Ashkenazi, wealthy Leftists who got rich on the backs of the poor.
Those pilots who learned to fly on incredibly expensive toys at taxpayers’ expense and continue to fly for enjoyment and then get high-paying airline jobs, those hi-tech millionaires who learned their trade in 8200 at the expense of the working people, they disgust the majority of Israelis. (Come to think of it, Yair Lapid has spent his failed lifetime getting rich on the public payroll but has never produced anything of value for anyone except himself. Modern Israeli socialism at work.)
The People aren’t going to take this lying down.
