What is at Stake in the Trump Revolution
The Operating System
Every culture runs on an operating system. Jews run on Torah and Talmud, for example, America and Americans run on TV. This election is divided broadly between new internet generations and the boomers, who get most of their worldview from the TV centered propaganda of the state. And the biggest irony of the revolution is that it’s headlined by Trump, who is the most TV centered man in the world.
Yarvin anchors the “Cathedral” on the NYT. As it’s ultimately signaling to TV on what is the party line. There is a good chance the “Cathedral” (and TV media) will be deposed in this election. I hope the Trump administration follows through on the idea by David Sacks of actioning off the spectrum that broadcast propaganda television gets for free:
The major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) operate on free licenses of public spectrum in exchange for requirements to serve the public interest. They no longer do, and this is an obsolete model anyway. The spectrum should be auctioned off, with the proceeds used to pay down the national debt. Of course, the networks can bid on the spectrum, and they will win if broadcast networks are still the most highly valued use. What’s more likely to happen is that valuable spectrum will be reapportioned to the next generation of wireless applications, unleashing many more interesting options for consumers and businesses. The networks can continue to operate on cable, like hundreds of other redundant channels.
The cathedral is the university class of the priests. If you recall, cohanim didn’t work. So broadly, this revolution is between the middle class of “working” people centered on reality and university priests centered on “American” ideology and their students. It’s a real conflict, as the American ethos evolved from the Protestant and Marxists messianic movements.
Battle for Twitter
As in all revolutions, there are a series of decisive battles. Elon Musk is the most reality-centered man in America. X is the party organ of the revolution. It’s the only significant source of information freed from the priests propaganda and the deep state censorship.
Before Elon, Twitter’s “trending” followed tightly to what’s on TV at the moment. Deferring to the TV's centrality to the culture. After Elon, TV is only in the business of supplying negative memes. The X is the Iskra of the revolution.
Like in the Bolshevik revolution, the Trump revolution is the uprising of working people proletariat and the pheasant class, except this time the messianic Marxists are on the other side. This why there is a notable ambivalence of the religious voters toward the Trump movement. They are confused because they sense that the messianic camp is with the priests of the state. And let’s face it, the religious people don’t mind dictatorship and censorship that much, as it’s part of the religious culture.
The Avengers
If Trump, God forbid, looses, it will be due to overemphasis on the rallies where Trump dramatically enters to the God Bless the USA. Trump's central flaw is the obsession with theatrics of TV centered media. In his last administration, Trump did all the flawed hiring from the “faces on TV”. As he is the prime example of the boomer generation centered on television.
This time it is not only about Trump, there is the team of the younger Avengers: RFK, Elon, Vivek, Vance, etc. There is a plan to the revolution. One hopes so.
