Interesting. Although that link keeps referring to White Days as White Nights in June when in fact בחזרה לאפריל 1932 וליום השלג שבו נכתב כנראה "ימים לבנים".

i.e town and university were shut down by the unusually late snow, and she is inside, etc.

the tall and straight bridge is probably this one. It was blown up by US in the war, but it was tall and straight

הַלֵּאָה means exhausted, I did not know the word. I could hear the name but not the meaning of the word.
