How long is “rapid”? In a span of civilization, a century or even longer is very fast. But it is still longer than a lifetime.
You could be right about something but mistime the realization by others by a whole lifetime. The Soviet Union lasted 70 years, that’s three generations, as far as individual life is concerned, an eternity. Russia, in many aspects, is still a Soviet Union.
The left has been working on the destruction of America since FDR, or even before FDR died at the end of WWII in 1945, that’s 80 years ago. It’s a question if the Trump Revolution can reverse the decay, or is it just a blip in the spiral. Or if we live to see the results (the only thing that matters).
Meritocracy is very rare. We can rule out every monarchical regime, an entire history. Maybe there was never a meritocracy? Even if there was a minor incident of meritocracy, perhaps you were born with talent that is poorly recognized or not needed at the time.
Especially noteworthy that there are no roadmaps how to navigate the “diversions”. Was there ever an example of meritocracy in history? Pure meritocracy not moderated by a religion, never.
So we are back to the only question that matters, how to game the system with what you got (or didn’t). But it takes a lifetime to understand and master. By the time you think you understand, game up.
