I read through the second volume of the case. It only reinforced my impression that Boris Markovich Schneerson never said a word of what is written there but was forced to signs, like the thousands of others during the purges. In General, he is accusing Minister Bruskin and others in the membership in the anti-soviet Trotskyst organization starting in Kharkov. He is accused of deliberately damaging “267 tractors from the Chelyabinsk Tractor Factory, damages for “4,961,000 Rubles”, “having four guns in his possession”. I am always surprised that in addition to the manufactured evidence, they had to write a multipage, neatly typed story. Someone had this souless job.
The way they describe him in the document: “Boris Markovich Schneerson, born 1891 in Gomel, Son of a Rabbi, brother of a Rabbi who emigrated in 1930, former member of Bundt, Party member since 1920, before the arrest deputy director of CTF.”
A note of the death penalty: “The sentence to be shot of Boris Markovich Schneerson was executed in Moscow on September 20th, 1938. The information is in the archive No. 1 of the Special Office of the NKVD of the CCCP, Volume 3, page 332.”

I was trying to see any hint of where he was buried. Likely in one of these mass graves:
Donskoye Cemetery (where there are at least three other known Schneersons) or Butovo (where there is at least one known Schneersons).
I will keep looking.
24 of Elul is the Yahrzeit of Boris Markovich Schneerson.
Above is the rehabilitation page dated June 4th, 1957. They literally write that they “strike down the case” and “cancel the death sentence”.
Is the actual time of execution included in the record? So we can establish correct yortzeit.
